RAÚL FERNÁNDEZ
“Today felt like all our Fridays. We were working a lot on the pace and it was good, with the medium and the soft, but on the time attack it just didn’t work out. I don’t understand why we are not competitive on Friday and we can’t anticipate the issues. I’m really frustrated today because I felt very comfortable with the bike. We were very focused on working on ourselves, working alone to improve but, when we did the first time attack, I was doing quite well but with the second rear tire I couldn’t push. I just couldn’t manage the front and never managed to improve.”
AI OGURA
“The circuit was exactly what I expected. It’s quite difficult for me but, compared to Assen, I’m a lot closer to the top and my position is also quite acceptable. Sector two and three are most difficult - in sector two I lost a lot in the first outings but then I managed to improve a lot in that part.”
“At the end of the day, we were quite close to qualify for Q2. We didn’t achieve it but I think we can try tomorrow morning. In general, I think it was a positive day, no big issues. Just Raul couldn’t use all he had during the time attack, which is why he is a little bit behind. Ai showed some good progress from this morning to this afternoon. So now we keep working and try again tomorrow.”
