NASCAR's Trackhouse Racing, Red Bull & ChevroletCombining for Goodwood Festival of Speed Run

Trackhouse Racing's founder and owner Justin Marks will drive the team's No. 87 Red Bull Chevrolet NASCAR Cup Series entry at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed July 10-13.

The annual motorsport event held at Goodwood House in West Sussex, England, celebrates car culture. It displays a wide array of vehicles, from vintage classics to modern supercars, Formula 1 machines, and innovative prototypes. NASCAR has taken an increased role in recent years, with a variety of drivers, cars and teams making the trek across the Atlantic Ocean.

"This is quite the honor for both Trackhouse Racing and NASCAR,” said Marks, who owns the Trackhouse MotoGP team. “NASCAR held its first points race in recent history in Mexico last month, and it was a huge success. Expanding our fan base globally is a goal for everyone in our sport, and there's no better place to showcase our sport than the Goodwood Festival of Speed. I want to think our friends at Red Bull and Chevrolet for making this happen.”

The event, founded in 1993 by Lord March, attracts car enthusiasts, manufacturers, and drivers worldwide. It combines automotive history, innovation, and glamour with displays, unveilings, and demonstrations.

The main attraction is a 1.16-mile hillclimb where drivers race up a challenging course, not just for competition but to put on a show for over 200,000 attendees. Beyond the hillclimb, there are off-road courses, concours d’elegance, and exhibitions like the Future Lab for emerging tech.

Marks, 44, is no stranger to a race car. He has logged more than 20 years in sports car racing, including factory rides with Porsche, Acura, and BMW. He competed in six NASCAR Cup Series races, with a best finish of 12th place in the 2018 Daytona 500. He made 35 starts in the Xfinity Series, posting a win, three top fives and seven top-10s. He won the Xfinity Series race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on August 13, 2016, driving for Chip Ganassi Racing.

Marks competed in 39 races in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and, with four co-drivers, won the 2009 Rolex 24 in the GT division.

He retired from full-time competition to devote his energies to the business of motorsports and entertainment. Timing his race team’s entry into NASCAR as the sport moved toward a more even playing field on the track, Marks' Trackhouse team began competition in 2021 as a single-car race team with Mexican driver Daniel Suárez behind the wheel. The team achieved success on and off track in 2021, running competitively and reaching out to non-traditional NASCAR audiences. Its multicultural pit crews, new sponsors and fresh openness were pillars of the Trackhouse philosophy.

The team has expanded to three fulltime Cup Series entries and has logged 10 victories since 2021, including wins by Ross Chastain and Shane van Gisbergen in 2025. The New Zealander won in his debut NASCAR race on the streets of Chicago. Van Gisbergen was part of Marks' PROJECT91 program created to give international driving stars the opportunity to race in NASCAR. 2007 Formula One World Champion Kimi Räikkönen has made two NASCAR appearances, and four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Hélio Castroneves raced in the 2025 Daytona 500.

Trackhouse Racing joined the MotoGP grid in 2024, bringing an American team back to the pinnacle of motorcycle racing for the first time in over a decade. Trackhouse Racing MotoGP is determined to be a competitive force on and off track in partnership with Aprilia as its official factory-supported team.

Marks will drive the car on Thursday and Friday before turning over the duties to others. He plans to attend the NASCAR Cup Series race at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway on Sunday.
