Trackhouse Racing's Daniel Suárez finished 20th, and teammates Ross Chastain finished 23rd and Shane van Gisbergen 33rd in Sunday's race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

In the final stage, Chastain had a loose-handling Tootsie's Chevrolet at the beginning and ran in the top-25. With improved handling towards the end of the stage he continued to work his way forward until he received damage from an accident on lap 244 and he was forced to pit multiple times.

Suárez slipped back in the final stage and ran mid-pack before finishing 20th in the Freeway Insurance Chevrolet.

Van Gisbergen continued to run well in only his third Cup start at Las Vegas in the final stage. Unfortunately, he was collected in an accident on the restart with 23 laps remaining in the race, ending his day prematurely.

In Stage 2 with improved handling on the No. 1 Chevrolet, Chastain reached the top-20 and finished 22nd. Van Gisbergen ran solidly in the top-10 throughout the stage and slipped to 11th as the stage closed. Suárez maintained his track position and completed the stage 14th.

In the first stage, Van Gisbergen started 13th and worked his way forward throughout the stage and finished 12th. Suarez started 17th and found himself 16th at the stage end. Chastain qualified 15th but started the day at the rear of the field due to brushing the wall in qualifying and requiring repairs before the start of the race. In Stage 1 he had an extremely loose handling Chevrolet and went one lap down before recovering late in the stage to finish 35th and on the lead lap.

DANIEL SUAREZ

"We had a pretty good Freeway Chevy on the long runs today but had a few errors that put us behind. We had to battle from a lap down and use some strategy to try and bring home a strong finish but just didn’t have enough time in the end on a short run to get a better result."

ROSS CHASTAIN

"It certainly wasn’t an ideal finish today for our Tootsie’s Chevy. In the final stage of the race, we got the handling figured out and were moving forward, then we got caught up in the accident and had some damage we had to work on. But we rallied to finish 23rd."

SHANE VAN GISBERGEN

"Frustrating end to the day. My 88 Jockey Chevy was so good there at the start, then towards the end it was a bit tight, but we were still in a position to get a good finish. Wish our result would’ve shown the race we had. Proud of my 88 team for bringing another rocket ship."
