Trackhouse Racing's Ross Chastain finished 13th, and teammates Daniel Suárez finished 19th and Shane van Gisbergen 24th in Sunday's race at Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Ariz.

The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season was a historic year for the Trackhouse Racing organization. The team secured six victories, the most in a season for the Chevrolet team that was established in 2021. Trackhouse Racing had two entries in the Cup Series Playoffs with driver Ross Chastain making his third appearance and Shane van Gisbergen making his first. Van Gisbergen secured the 2025 Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors.

In the final stage, Chastain started from third and quickly took the second spot. As handling changed, Chastain slipped back to fifth. Chastain pitted during the last caution of the race and restarted 19th in NASCAR overtime before working his way back up to 13th and taking the checkered flag. Suárez ran mid-pack for most of the stage. He restarted 23rd for NASCAR overtime and gained a few positions while securing a top-20 finish. Being caught one lap down after making a scheduled green flag pit stop, Van Gisbergen gained his lap back by taking the wave around on the lap-280 caution. Van Gisbergen gained multiple spots in the final overtime restart, resulting in his best Cup Series finish at the one-mile Arizona track.

In the second stage, Chastain reached the top-10 on lap 85 and maintained the strong track position to end the stage sixth. Suárez continued to work on the handling on his Chevrolet and finished 23rd. Van Gisbergen spun on lap 107 from lacking overall grip and went one lap down. During the late-stage caution, he pitted for major adjustments before finishing 31st.

In Stage 1, Chastain started 13th and battled a tight-handling Chevrolet and ended up finishing the stage 16th. Suárez started 14th and was able to maintain solid track position throughout the stage, finishing 13th. Van Gisbergen, who started 31st, lacked lateral grip during the first stage but was able to hold onto track position, finishing the stage 30th.

ROSS CHASTAIN

"We had a pretty strong Busch Light Chevy today at Phoenix. Phil made a couple of adjustments early in the race to get the handling better and we were able to maintain a top-10 spot for most of the race, especially with good pit stops. We were a little further back on the last restart than we had been all day because of all the varying pit strategies but it was a solid day. We had speed and we wrapped up a good season for the No. 1 Busch Light Chevy team. The win at Charlotte, the playoffs and Chevrolet wrapping up the championship today. I’m going to take a little break and then get right back to work on next season."

DANIEL SUAREZ

"Definitely not the way we wanted to end this season, but the guys worked really hard to stay on top of the adjustments today and keep making the car better. After practice, I felt like we were going to have a car to compete for top-10 speed, but we worked our way back up for a top-20 finish."
"Although this chapter has come to a close, I really have a great appreciation for Trackhouse and everyone here and having had the opportunity, to not only be the first driver for Trackhouse, but just work with the great teammates that I’ve had. I look forward to taking a little time to catch my breath and then get right back to work. Looking forward to 2026.”

SHANE VAN GISBERGEN

"Not the way we wanted to finish our season, my WeatherTech Chevy lacked overall grip today. Just something to work on and learn from as we prepare to come back here (Phoenix Raceway) next season. It's been an epic year with my 88 team! Everyone put so much hard work into making it an unforgettable rookie season in the Cup Series. Already looking forward to getting next season started."
