ROSS CHASTAIN

Jockey Infinite Cool Underwear: Ross Chastain will drive the No. 1 Jockey Chevrolet this weekend at Richmond (Va.) Raceway, as Jockey and Trackhouse Racing shine a spotlight on one of NASCAR’s most integral and intense roles: the pit crew. In addition to the return of Chastain’s head-turning “see-through” paint scheme, the No. 1 crew will sport custom firesuits designed to look like they’re wearing Jockey Infinite Cool underwear over their gear, putting the product front and center in a fun, unexpected way.

Chastain at the Richmond: Chastain makes his 13th Cup Series start at Richmond on Saturday night. Last year in August, Chastain piloted the No. 1 Jockey Infinite Cool Underwear Chevrolet to a fifth-place finish, his second top-five at the Virginia short track. His best Richmond finish came in April 2023 when he finished third in the Jockey Chevrolet. Chastain has led a total of 100 laps in three different Cup races at the .75-mile track.

Meet Chastain: On Friday at 2 p.m. ET, Chastain will sign autographs at the Drive Smart Virginia tailgate located in Lot D at Richmond Raceway - wristband required. Saturday at 3:10 p.m. ET, Chastain will sign autographs at the Trackhouse Racing merchandise hauler located in the Fan Zone - wristband required and distribution begins on Friday. At 3:45 p.m. he will sign autographs at the Drive Smart Virginia booth located in the Fan Zone - wristband required. At 4:25 p.m., he will appear in Victory Lane for a NASCAR Fan Q&A.

Last Weekend at Watkins Glen: Chastain qualified fourth for his seventh Cup Series start at the upstate New York road course. He ran as high as second-place and often looked like one of the fastest cars on the track on his way to a 10th-place finish, his 11th top-10 of the season.

Crew Chief: Chastain and crew chief Phil Surgen have worked together since 2021. The duo is the third longest active driver and crew chief pairing.

Most Wins for No. 1 Car in Cup Series: The No. 1 car has been to victory lane six times with Chastain since 2022, the most wins by a driver with that number. Jamie McMurray previously held the record with four victories in the No. 1 car.

No. 1 Pit Crew Wears Infinite Cool Underwear

Jockey's activation features a bold content series featuring the No. 1 crew running full-speed pit drills in nothing but Infinite Cool, showcasing the sweat-wicking, heat-fighting technology in action. Styled photo assets nod to Jockey’s iconic ’90s ad campaigns, reimagined with a motorsports twist as the brand looks ahead to its 150th anniversary next year.

Chastain Quotes

You finished fifth last year at Richmond. How much confidence does that give you for this weekend? Have the cars changed so much that it doesn't give you an advantage anymore?
"I feel like we can go anywhere and compete, we just need to execute. We have the pieces, people and the resources, but actually executing on that during the weekend is where we have failed. If we can go and get our balance and grip right in practice and qualifying, that sets us up for a good race day. We have won the Richmond 125 a couple of times, but getting all 400 laps has been tough. We've done it a couple of times before and I know we have the ability to do it."

How cool is the Jockey Infinite Underwear campaign with your pit crew?
“It has been fun to see my pit crew guys participating in the Jockey Infinite Underwear elements. There probably isn’t any better group of guys to embrace wearing their underwear for everyone to see than my pit crew. They are such a fun bunch of guys and have great personalities. It’s always great when a partner wants to go all-in with an idea or campaign. I have one job now and that's to get the car into victory lane."

How significant is it to you to be starting next year as the longest tenured driver at Trackhouse? Is there a different responsibility?
"Nothing drastically changing for next year, but it will be different. Obviously, I'll have different teammates and no one will have been there longer than me."

SHANE VAN GISBERGEN

Race Weekend in the Commonwealth: Shane van Gisbergen will make his first Cup Series career start at Richmond this weekend after a dominate win last weekend in Watkins Glen. Last year, Van Gisbergen made one NASCAR Xfinity Series career start at the 0.75-mile track, where he scored a respectable 15th-place finish.

Redemption at Watkins Glen: Nobody could keep up with Van Gisbergen, who led three times for 38 of the 90 laps on Sunday. He took the race lead for the final time with just under 40 laps to go and held on through a final pit stop sequence to win by more than 11 seconds.

Rookie Records: Van Gisbergen now holds the record of most wins by a Sunoco Rookie in a single season (four). The Watkins Glen victory makes Van Gisbergen the fastest driver to five Cup Series wins since Dan Gurney in 1968. Following his Sonoma win, Van Gisbergen became the first driver since Jeff Gordon to win three consecutive road course Cup races from the pole. The Auckland, New Zealand native is the only driver not from the United States to win at least four NASCAR Cup Series races.

Four Wins on the Season: Van Gisbergen's Watkins Glen victory ties him with Denny Hamlin for most Cup Series victories in the 2025 season.

Playoff Bound: After last weekends win at Watkins Glen, Van Gisbergen is now second in the 2025 Cup Series Playoff Standings with 22 playoff points. The Mexico City victory locked him into the playoffs, his first-ever appearance in NASCAR's post-season. He also clinched a playoff spot in his full-time season in the 2024 Xfinity Series.

Two-Time Inaugural Race Winner: Van Gisbergen has etched himself into the NASCAR history books by winning two inaugural NASCAR Cup Series races. The New Zealand native captured the win in the first-ever Mexico City race in June, and in 2023, Van Gisbergen won his debut Cup Series race with Trackhouse's PROJECT91 at the Chicago Street Race.

Winning Crew Chief: After last weekends win in Watkins Glen, Stephen Doran is now a four-time winning crew chief. Doran's first win as a Cup Series Crew Chief in June at Mexico City with Van Gisbergen. Doran is in his first season as Van Gisbergen's crew chief on the No. 88 Chevrolet and his second year as a crew chief at the Cup level.

Rookie Year: Van Gisbergen is a Sunoco Rookie of the Year Contender during the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. Van Gisbergen leads Riley Herbst in the rookie standings (441-287) entering Richmond.

Multiyear Extension: What began as a one-off PROJECT91 race in 2023, continued as a successful Xfinity Series campaign in 2024 and turned into a record-breaking NASCAR Cup Series run in 2025, will continue for years to come as Shane van Gisbergen and Trackhouse Racing announced a multiyear contract extension. The agreement will keep the former V8 Supercars driver at Trackhouse Racing.

Van Gisbergen Quotes

Watkins Glen was your fourth Cup win of the year and is the most ever by a rookie. What does that mean to you personally?
"Yeah, it means everything. The prep that we go through, not just for these road courses, but we do it every week. As I've said many times over the last few weeks, I feel like we've gotten a lot better, especially on the ovals. It's been cool working with a great bunch of people. To share four wins with everyone and to see how much it meant to everyone when you're high fiving during the burnout, you can see how into it they are. It's so cool."

Do you feel like the other drivers have improved and gotten closer to you in terms of road racing ability?
"I just think they're good anyway. I think the difference has been that I'm with the team full-time this year and I've been able to develop a setup and fine tune it to the way I want. Last year I kind of just jumped in and ran with the Kaulig guys, whereas this year I'm all involved in the setup, trying to learn every week. I really feel like as a team we've been able to tailor the car to my needs. I think we turn up to the track, we know what our tuning tools are. I know what I want the car to feel like. I think it's just us as a team getting better."
‍Are you looking forward to making your first Cup Series start at Richmond?
"We only went there once in Xfinity, so it's still a really fresh track for me. I had a fun race there and it was early in the season. I enjoyed it, how you can move around and try and make the car work. It was very line sensitive. You could change the line and see what worked best for you. The track allows you to have a bit more driver input on what works to get the best result out of the car. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish there this weekend."

DANIEL SUAREZ

Last Weekend at Watkins Glen: Daniel Suárez scored a seventh-place finish in Sunday's race at Watkins Glen, his fourth top-10 of the season.

Last Year at Richmond: Suárez finished 10th in last year's race at Richmond (Va.) Raceway. The race marked the first points race where teams had access to two types of Goodyear tires: a softer option tire for short-term grip with less durability and a harder prime tire for longer-lasting performance. Teams were allocated six sets of prime tires and two sets of option tires for the race. It made for wild racing. Suárez, who used his first set of reds to win the second stage and second set to drive from 16th to sixth in regulation, held on in overtime using the hard tires to record his fifth top-10 of the season. He led four times for 93 laps.

Richmond Career: Suárez has four top-10 finishes in 15 starts at Richmond, His best finish came in 2017 when he claimed a seventh-place finish.

Cup Career Highlights: Suárez owns two victories (Sonoma 2022 and Atlanta 2024) and three Busch Light Pole Awards - Pocono (Pa.) Raceway July 2018, Kentucky Speedway July 2019, and on the road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway August 2023.

Personal Life: Suárez married Julia Piquet, daughter of three-time Formula One World Champion Nelson Piquet, at a ceremony on July 30 in Brazil. The couple took a delayed honeymoon trip to Japan in the offseason. He is also now a dual citizen of Mexico and the United States. He took the American Oath of Allegiance at a naturalization ceremony on June 18 in front of media, friends, the NASCAR industry and NASCAR Commissioner Steve Phelps, who gave the keynote address to the 48 new citizens from 28 countries who joined Suárez at the ceremony. The 33-year-old Monterrey, Mexico native arrived in America about 13 years ago, unable to speak English.

Mexico Success: Suárez returned to his native country in June as NASCAR held its inaugural race at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City. A week of fan and media activity included a 19th-place finish in the Cup race. But few will forget his drive from last place to first in the No. 9 Quaker State Chevrolet for JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series race and the celebration in front of the raucous fans. It marked the first time in any NASCAR series that a driver has done that on a road course. His victory, coupled with Van Gisbergen's, marks the first time since 2009 that international drivers have swept a race weekend.

Trackhouse Racing and Suárez Agree to Part Ways: Trackhouse Racing and Suárez announced on July 1 that they have mutually decided to conclude their partnership following the 2025 season. The move allows Suárez to pursue new opportunities in his racing career.

Suárez Quotes

On your performance in recent weeks:
"There's a lot of tracks that have been good to me in the past coming up. Lately, we’ve just had a lot of accidents and things happen that were out of our control. Hopefully we can carry this momentum from a good run at Watkins Glen into the next couple of races and contend for a win. I really want to get a win for everyone at Trackhouse Racing and all of our sponsors."

What are the challenges of transitioning from practice to qualifying at Richmond?
“In practice you are more in a rhythm and you are looking to get your car in a rhythm and have a good read in your race car to be able to make it better. In qualifying you have to be as present as possible because you have what you have and you must maximize every single ounce of the car. And it is very, very important to be present on the car, you know, to understand the car. Even before you take the green flag you have to know if the car going to be tight, loose, or what it's going to do."
