Trackhouse Racing's Ross Chastain won Sunday night's 66th-annual Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Trackhouse teammates Shane van Gisbergen finished 14th, Connor Zilisch 23rd and Daniel Suárez 36th.

Chastain passed William Byron with seven laps remaining and beat him to the finish line by .673 seconds for his sixth career victory and first of the season for himself and Trackhouse Racing.

Chastain started 40th in a backup car after a Saturday practice crash that damaged his primary car. On Sunday, he drove into the top five before the halfway point and moved into the top three in the final stage before the battle with Byron secured the victory.

It marked the first time a Coca-Cola 600 winner started last.

Sunday's 14th-place finish was a season-best oval performance for Van Gisbergen, who seemed to get faster through the 600-mile race.
The 18-year-old Zilisch, starting his second Cup Series race, survived contact with another car that sent him for a spin early in the second stage. He then ran an incident-free race and finished 23rd.

Suárez, making his 300th Cup Series start, worked on car balance early and appeared to be making gains racing in mid-pack when a multicar accident on lap 245 ended his race.

Chastain's victory is Trackhouse Racing's ninth since it began NASCAR Cup Series racing in 2021. It started as a single-car Chevrolet team before expanding to two full-time cars in 2022 and three cars in 2025. Chastain owns victories at: Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, in March 2022, Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in April 2022, Nashville (Tenn.), Superspeedway in June 2023, Phoenix Raceway in November 2023, and Kansas Speedway in September 2024.

Chastain also has four Xfinity Series victories and two Craftsman Truck Series victories.

The victory marks Chevrolet's 47th all-time NASCAR Cup Series win at Charlotte Motor Speedway, with now 26 of those wins coming in the Coca-Cola 600 – both of which are series-leading records. Chastain keeps Chevrolet undefeated in crown jewel wins in 2025, with William Byron and the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet team opening the season with back-to-back Daytona 500 victories. The NASCAR Cup Series returns to action at 7 p.m. ET Sunday at Nashville Superspeedway.

ROSS CHASTAIN

"When I left the shop last night, I went over and sat in this car for the first time. It was about 10 o'clock when I left. They worked until 2:30. They were back at 5:30 this morning. Most of them drive 30, 45 minutes home. A little shower, I think. I don't even know if they slept. Back there at 5:30. They get this thing ready, and that's the dedication it takes from Trackhouse. There were people there that had their Saturdays off yesterday, and they came in." "To drive on that final run in the World 600 and pass two cars that had been way better all night. Phil Surgen (crew chief) wanted me to pit two laps earlier. I went two laps longer just out of a little bit of confusion. Man, that paid off at the end. These Goodyear Eagles held on longer because they were a little bit fresher. Holy cow, we just won the World 600!"

SHANE VAN GISBERGEN

“We’ve just been chipping away the last few weeks; getting better and better. I feel like we’ve just been growing in confidence. We’ve been a bit under the radar, but we had some good pace there. Unfortunately, when Daniel (Suarez) and Ryan (Blaney) wrecked, I had to go across the infield, and it damaged something underneath and we were really tight. There were about five of them jumping on the front splitter to get it back down, but it wasn’t quite the same. A lot of the cars we finished behind, we were better than them, but it was promising.”

CONNOR ZILISCH

“It was a really long day. My goal was to come in and run all the laps, and we did that. Finishing 23rd isn’t horrible, probably better than I was expecting. We got some damage when Jimmie (Johnson) had an issue and spun into us, and that kind of hurt us for the rest of the day. I felt like we were actually pretty good during the first stage and we were making up ground. But nonetheless, really proud of Trackhouse Racing. It’s so cool to see Ross (Chastain) win such a big race, and I’m very thankful to be able to get this opportunity to run in the Cup Series again with Red Bull and Trackhouse Racing.”

DANIEL SUAREZ

“We were working on our Freeway Chevrolet's balance all race tonight. We couldn't get the front end to work like we needed it to. I feel like if we could have gotten the balance right, we had a really good car. I hate our night ended in the wreck and we didn't get a chance to get it like we needed it. Congratulations to Ross and everyone at Trackhouse. That's a great win!"
