There is no more fitting racetrack for Trackhouse Racing to celebrate its 300th start this weekend than Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway.
Just six days after Ross Chastain registered his sixth win, the Trackhouse team comes home to Nashville, where founder and owner Justin Marks resides and where Trackhouse's corporate offices are located.
The Trackhouse story has been a whirlwind in its first five seasons.
After retiring from a successful driving career in NASCAR and sports cars, Marks, 44, formed the Trackhouse Entertainment Group in 2020 to create a racing brand that transcends motorsports.
Since taking to the track in 2021 with Daniel Suárez as its only driver, Trackhouse Racing has grown to three full-time Cup teams, a part-time fourth team and a driver development program in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Trackhouse boasts nine victories in its young existence, created a sophisticated social and digital program with an international flavor and has attracted major corporate support from some of the world's most recognizable brands including: Chevrolet, Anheuser-Busch, Red Bull, Jockey, Coca-Cola, WeatherTech, Tootsie's, Freeway Insurance, Kubota, Wendy's, Moose International, Choice Hotels, Safety Culture and others.
Expansion began midway through the 2021 season when Marks purchased the NASCAR assets of Chip Ganassi Racing and began the 2022 season as a two-car team operating out of its Concord, North Carolina, race shop with Suárez and Chastain as drivers.
Chastain gave the organization its first victory at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, in March 2022, while Suárez became the first Mexican driver to win a Cup race when he won at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway in June 2022. In July 2023, New Zealander Shane van Gisbergen won the inaugural Chicago Street race in his first start driving for Trackhouse's PROJECT91 program. Marks created the program to offer NASCAR opportunities to international driving stars that have included F1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen and four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Hélio Castroneves.
Trackhouse Racing joined the MotoGP grid in 2024, bringing an American team back to the pinnacle of international motorcycle racing for the first time in over a decade. It fielded Aprilia motorcycles for Spaniard Raul Fernandez and Japanese rider Ai Ogura.
Also in 2024, Avenue Sports Fund acquired a significant minority stake in Trackhouse Entertainment Group.
In 2025, Van Gisbergen, Suárez and Chastain race full-time in the Cup Series for Trackhouse Racing while 18-year-old development driver Connor Zilisch races for JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series and made his first two Cup starts at COTA and last weekend in Charlotte.

After starting last for the Coca-Cola 600, Chastain consistently worked his way forward throughout the lengthy event. Late in the final stage, he reached the top-five and passed William Byron for the lead with six laps to go, crossing the finish line .673-seconds ahead of Byron.
Crew Chief: Chastain and crew chief Phil Surgen have worked together since 2021. The duo are the third longest active driver and crew chief pairing.
Most Wins for No. 1 Car in Cup Series: The No. 1 car has been to victory lane six times with Chastain since 2022, the most wins by a driver with that number. Jamie McMurray previously held the record with four victories in the No. 1 car.
Chastain Quotes:
How much fun is it to go to the Nashville area this weekend?
“I love country music and live music, so that's a fun time. I always stay after the race and go to Tootsies down on Broadway and that's always a good time. Tootsies has been a longtime supporter of Trackhouse so it fun to go down there and spend time. I get to Nashville a couple of times each year, usually for sponsor things, so I'm very familiar with the area and it's a lot fun."
Why have you had so much success at Nashville?
“The track is very unique. It feels like its a mile-and-a-half but its not so it takes me some time to get acclimated. But I've had fast cars there to be honest. If my cars aren't good, I can't go fast. We'll look to build off of things we've learned more recently about these cars and try to keep moving the needle. I'm running the Xfinity race so that's exciting and a challenge. I'm running a JRM car with Acceptance Insurance on Saturday night and that will allow me to get some more reps in at the track.”

SHANE VAN GISBERGEN
A Look Ahead to Music City:
Shane van Gisbergen will make his first Cup Series start at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway this weekend. Van Gisbergen owns one Xfinity Series start at the 1.33-mile track where he secured a 15th-place finish.
Best Cup Series Oval Finish: Sunday's 14th-place finish at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway was Van Gisbergen's best on an oval this season, whose performance seemed to steadily improve during the 600-mile event.
Red Bull Back on Track with SVG: Van Gisbergen became a Red Bull Athlete in 2016 when he joined Triple Eight Race Engineering in the Australian Supercars Championship. The New Zealand native went on to win 52 races and three Supercar Championships (2016, 2021, 2022). Fast forward nine years later and Van Gisbergen will pilot the No. 88 Red Bull Chevrolet for the second time this season at Nashville.
Red Bull Joins Trackhouse Racing: In January, Trackhouse Racing announced Red Bull will serve as the official energy drink of Trackhouse Racing and serve as the primary sponsor on Van Gisbergen's No. 88 Chevrolet for five NASCAR Cup Series races.
Meet SVG: On Sunday, Van Gisbergen will be signing autographs at the Trackhouse Merchandise Hauler at 2:50 p.m. CT - wristbands are required.
Atop the No. 88 Pit Box: Stephen Doran is in his first season as Van Gisbergen's crew chief on the No. 88 Chevrolet and his second year as a crew chief at the Cup level.
Rookie Year: Van Gisbergen is a Sunoco Rookie of the Year Contender during the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. He leads Riley Herbst by one point in the rookie standings entering Nashville.
Van Gisbergen Quotes:
After a solid performance at Charlotte, how do you feel your aggression is growing on ovals?
"I think we are showing improvement now. It has been difficult results wise, but I do feel like we are getting somewhere, getting better and better. To me, I know I have a lot to learn but I don't feel like I'm forcing it or driving outside my limits. Every week I'm being methodical about it. I feel good about the way it's going."
There are three road course races over the next two months. Are you looking forward to this part of the season?
"I'm looking forward to some right handers, that's for sure (laughs). Got some good tracks coming up, tracks I know, but obviously Mexico City is a fresh one for everyone. But these ovals have been a big learning process the last couple of months, so it will be nice to have a break and turn right."

The couple took a delayed honeymoon trip to Japan in the offseason. He is also now a dual citizen of Mexico and the United States.
