Daniel Suarez hasn’t taken the green flag for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and the weekend already is a grand slam success.

Suarez will be riding with a paint scheme that, in part, celebrates SLAM!, a non-profit educational organization started by Trackhouse Racing co-owner Armando Christian Perez (Pitbull). SLAM! operates 14 tuition-free charter schools in Florida, Nevada, Georgia, Texas and Arizona.
Pitbull designed SLAM! to expose students to careers in sports medicine, media production, marketing and the arts. Students can earn college credits utilizing dual enrollment and Advanced Placement programs. SLAM! was named a “System of Distinction” by Cognia, a global school improvement organization. It is one of only 30 systems in over 90 countries to be so honored.
As part of a program that will see sponsors Ramirez & Co. and IA Capital Group on Suarez’s Chevrolet this weekend, a sizable donation will be made to SLAM! The money will establish a scholarship fund for graduating seniors and a financial literacy program at SLAM! schools as well as a grant program to encourage continuing education for SLAM! staff members.

In another boost for the SLAM! initiative, Ramirez is working closely with the SLAM! Foundation to develop and implement financial literacy programming and mentorship opportunities to help drive the professional success of SLAM! students.
